Hazel Doreen Pigott passed away peacefully on May 5, 2018, at age 77, surrounded by family. Originally from southeast England, Hazel held dear her British roots and fond memories of gardening and golfing near the sea. She will be remembered for her curious intellect, engaging dialogue, boundless creativity, resilient spirit and sharp wit. Hazel's lifelong passion for language and art yielded a magnificent legacy of poems, paintings and drawings.
Loving wife of the late Harold Oddy, she is survived by daughter, Venetia (Marc); sons, Timothy and Jeremy (Lisa); grandchildren, Daisy, Freya, Mary-Lynn, Dylan and Serena; brother, Maurice (Rosemary); and first husband, Alistair. For those who wish to do so, donations may be made in Hazel’s name to Community Perspectives in Mental Health (see link below), an organization that provided her with valuable support and assistance over many years.
A memorial service will be held on May 26th. Condolences with family and friends will be from 1pm to 2pm, followed by an Anglican service in the chapel and an English tea-style reception from 3pm to 5pm.
