It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Ian MacDougall at home, November 10, 2016 with his family around him. He was born in Port Hood, Cape Breton, Nova-Scotia on July 7, 1932 to Allan MacDougall and Theresa MacDonald.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Jennette MacDonnell in 2000 and his brother Reggie in 2013. Ian is survived by his loving children Alana (David Chapman) of Kirkland, Sharon (Thomas Venner) of Ottawa and Stephen (Christina Ramsey) of Calgary. He was the adored 'Pappy' to his grandchildren Kristopher and Chelsey Chapman, Thomas and Matthew Venner, Lauren MacDougall and Amy Gardner.
He is also survived by his devoted Partner Susan Hutchison and will be missed by her children Scott (Lara), Karen (Sean), Andrea (Stéphane), and Lesley (Mark), and by her gtandchildren who affectionately knew him has 'Dougall'. Ian also leaves to mourn his sister Catherine Teoli (Ralph), his brother Harold as well as sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins and many nieces and nephews.
Resting at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White. Visitations on Sunday, November 13, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be help at St. Edmund of Caterburry Church on Monday, November 14,2016 at 11 a.m.
