

He was a kind and considerate husband, loving father and a doting grandfather and great grandfather. He was a proud gentleman, right to the very end.
John is predeceased by his first wife Frances (nee. Zoppi) and second wife Jean (nee. Walker)
John leaves behind his children Andrew, Penny (Ron Kallio), and Richard, and in England Penny Joyce and Steve Joyce, his grandchildren Cheryl Kallio (Rhys Mattison), Graham Kallio (Priscilla Kallio), Christopher Male, William Male and his great granddaughter Emery Kallio.
He also leaves behind many family and friends in Canada, England and around the world through his extensive business and personal travels.
John enjoyed a distinguished career in aviation that spanned more than 40 years and was a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society for 76 years. He was an avid gardener and woodworker until well into his 80’s. His passion for reading, history and geneology spanned many decades and brought him great pleasure. John was a chairman for the Gillingham and Shaftesbury Agricultural Society in England for many years and was awarded the title of Honorary Life President. John selflessly volunteered for many charitable organizations in both Canada and England.
John’s family will miss his sense of humour, cheeky smile and fantastic stories.
The Funeral will be held at St-George’s Anglican Church, 23 Perrault St, Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Quebec H9X 2C6 on March 3rd. There will be a visitation at the church from 1-2pm followed by the funeral service at 2 pm with tea and coffee afterwards.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Association of Canada or to your local MS Society would be appreciated.
