

She will be sadly missed by her niece Judy Grant and nephew Douglas Grant both residing in the U.S.A. along with the Pearson Family who embraced her as a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She no doubt treasured these roles and gave richly to all of us leaving many good memories behind. She will also be missed by friends whose lives she touched over the years.
She was predeceased by her parents Jack and Harriet Grant, her brother Jim Grant and niece Claudia Grant.
For many years Katherine was a dedicated nurse at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Montreal. She ended her career there in 1990 as head nurse in the Surgical Day Center.
Once retired much of her time was devoted to volunteer work in the Valois community especially at St. John Fisher Church where she was a member for many years. She also enjoyed participating in bridge and book clubs along with a quilting group. Over the years when time allowed she derived a lot of pleasure from traveling with her good friends and talking about her wonderful experiences.
The family is very grateful for the kindness and care provided by the staff at Vigi D.D.O It was evident they had Katherine’s best interest at heart.
In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
A celebration of Katherine’s life will be held at Cimetière et Complexe Funéraire Belvedère at 22025 Route Transcanadienne, Senneville, QC H9X 0B2.
A visitation will be on Saturday, November 11th from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. A service will be held in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. followed by a reception.
