She is survived by her loving husband Torbjørn (Tobby) and sons Aleck and Derek (Iwona), as well as her cherished grandchildren James, Ava, and Naomi.
Lynne joins her parents Helen and Wilfred, and her brother Jim, who predeceased her. A loving aunt and godmother, she is dearly missed by her entire family.
Lynne touched nearly everyone she met and dedicated herself to family, friends, and community. Through devotion to her career in physiotherapy, Briarwood Presbyterian Church, the NOVA bookstore, Chez Doris shelter, rescue Labs, and countless birds and squirrels in her backyard, Lynne simply made the world a better place.
The family would like to thank Dr. Peters-Mainville and the entire staff of "4 South" at Lakeshore General Hospital, who ensured the final weeks of Lynne's battle with dementia were comfortable.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will take place at 11:00 a.m. on August 11 at Briarwood Presbyterian Church, 70 Beaconsfield Blvd.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or NOVA are appreciated.
