It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marjorie Winifred Armstrong (nee Paterson), peacefully on June 17, 2020 in her 96th year at the West Island Palliative Care Residence in Kirkland, Quebec. Marjorie, predeceased by her husband James Donald Armstrong, is lovingly remembered by her sons, James Hugh David Armstrong (Eileen), Roderick Douglas Armstrong (Barbara) and Ian Donald Armstrong (Paula). Known as Nana, she will always be remembered by her grandchildren, Jennifer (Gary), Meaghan, Ben, Scott (Melissa), James (Kelly), Katie, and Sarah, and her great-grandchildren Aidan, Meyer, Mia, Kai, Aubrey, Loretta, Winnifred and Levi. Marjorie will also be fondly remembered by her extended family. Marjorie was a very active member of the congregation of the Montreal West United church where she volunteered for many years. She will be dearly missed by her many friends within the church. Marjorie was a competitive curler at the Montreal West Curling Club and a member of the Dunany Country Club since 1961. Marjorie loved her bridge clubs and coordinated the Dunany Country Club Ladies Bridge Club, for many years. She will be fondly remembered by her many friends in the Dunany Community. A funeral service will be held at the Montreal West United Church when conditions permit. Marjorie will be laid to rest beside her beloved Don at the Protestant Cemetery in Lachute, Quebec.
