She will be greatly missed by her adoring family and many friends in Montreal and the Laurentians. Mary leaves in deep sorrow Michael, her loving husband of 44 years, her daughters Alexandra (Mark) and Adrienne (Tommy), her granddaughter Nora, her brothers Peter (Linda) and Brian, nephews Jesse (Charlene), Hal, James and niece Bryn (Nick), as well as many other relatives and friends. Mary was a devoted teacher of Nursing at John Abbott College and the Jewish General Hospital for over 30 years and was highly appreciated by her students and colleagues. Her passion for life also led her to cultivate many interests: she was a talented gardener, an avid reader, and a dedicated cross-country skier and swimmer. Mary was a lifelong learner who loved taking classes at McGill, travelling and discussing the latest news headlines. Above all, she loved spending time at the family cottage in the Laurentians, where she and Michael hosted countless family gatherings and welcomed many friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
