Maureen Doheny

We are deeply saddened to announce the sudden passing of our Mum, Maureen Doheny. Beloved wife to Stan Darlow for 42 years. Cherished mother to Meaghan (Ricky) and Shannon. Doting Nana to Piper and Declan. Loving sister to Brenda (Bill) and Arlene (Tom), daughter-in-law to Daisy and the late Stan Darlow, sister-in-law to Scott (Agi) and Robin, and Auntie Moe to many nieces and nephews. Pre deceased by her parents, Frances (née Boyle) and Patrick Doheny. She also leaves behind many extended family and friends who were all very dear to her.

A proud Irish girl from Verdun, Moe never forgot where she came from. She dedicated her career to Concordia University and after 35+ years enjoyed her well-deserved retirement. Moe loved reading, shopping at Eaton’s, high-heeled shoes (always, even her slippers!), family holidays, Coronation Street, Christmas time and Sunday dinners. What she loved the most was her time spent with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Moe valued every single person who walked into her life, so just know that if she knew you she loved you. There is no way we could ever replace her but we take comfort in knowing that her memory will always live on through everyone that knew her.

Our family will not be holding a service at this time but will reach out with our plans for a send-off some time in the new year.

Ma, we and Dad love you beyond words and we’ll miss you every single day. May you rest forever in peace ♥️ xoxoxo
