Peggy MacCallum

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Peggy MacCallum (nee Eyton-Jones) of Pointe Claire at the age of 77 years. Beloved wife of Bob MacCallum, loving mother of David (Patti Ross), Marlene (David Morrish), Cindy (Mark Warner) and MaryJane (Mark Bartkiw) and grandmother of Cal and Claire Warner. Peggy will be greatly missed by her husband, children and their spouses, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews and friends. Peggy was a positive force in the life of all she met. Peggy moved to Canada from Managua, Nicaragua when she was 10 years old. Her biggest joys in life were spending time with her family, making pottery, playing bridge, enjoying time with friends and being a snow bird in Florida. Peggy faced her journey through cancer with tremendous dignity, strength and her inimitable sense of humour. The family wishes to thank the CLSC and NOVA West Island for their excellent care of Peggy during the final stages of her illness. Relatives and friends may call at the Collins Funeral Home, 222 Autoroute 20, Pointe Claire, (514) 483-1870 on Thursday, August 2nd between 3 and 7 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at St. Edward the Confessor on Friday, August 3rd at 11 a.m. at 98 Aurora, Pointe Claire, (514) 426-4523. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to NOVA West Island www.novawi.org would be appreciated by the family.
