Due to political instabilities, she left her beloved Haiti for Hartford, Connecticut in the early 1960’s. It was not an easy task for this well established, well known intellect to place her children in boarding schools, and move to the Unites States without fanfare.
Like any new immigrant, Adele faced the harsh New England winters. She worked menial jobs for a few years to support herself and her family back home. While working full time, she attended night school. She amassed several degrees, and regained her professional status. She brought her children and her sister, Elliette, to Connecticut. There, she guided them into achieving their dreams.
Adele, the tireless working woman, avid reader, prolific classical pianist, is survived by her brothers Rene and Felix Titus; sisters, Cluny Titus and Lyddie Armand; children, Max, Yvanne, Josette, Anne-Marie, Claudette, Michelle, and Joseph Darius; grandchildren, Natasha, Jennifer, Joey-Lynn, and Josh Darius; great-grandchildren, Aubrianna, Alexavier, Ethan, Nadia, and Anissah Darius.
As a strong, stubborn mother/soldier, we can hear her telling us to “man up and carry on!” Thus, we have to be strong and move on.
Mom, we wish you a safe and peaceful journey! May the Lord take good care of you! We love you profoundly!
May God give strength and blessings to the following families; Darius, Titus, Pellissier, Lallane, Saget, Grand-Pierre, Viau, Volcy, Mitton, Nereus, Boisson, Jean-Pierre, Gourdet, St. Hillien, St. Luis, Nelson, Azemar, Dorvilus, Pouyes, Legrand, Armand, Jean, Jean-Baptiste, the staff and personnel of the Health Center of Coconut Creek, and the staff and personnel at Vitas.
On behalf of our families, we want to thank everyone who has helped us through this difficult time. PEACE BE WITH YOU!
