Alberta Joanne Weizer

Alberta Joanne Ferrara was born in Jersey City, New Jersey to Thomas Ferrara and Francesca Ferrara on June 21,1931. She went to school in New Jersey and Florida and married three times, James O House, Roy L Erlandson, and James A Weizer. She graduated from Keiser School of Nursing. She was employed as a Hospitality Worker in Both NJ and FL at many well-known establishments including the Molly Pitcher Hotel, Hidden Harbor, and Golden Spike. She went on to become a nurse and worked for the Broward County Hospital System at Imperial Point, Coral Springs, and North Broward Health for 35 years. She was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the Air Force and was awarded an honorable discharge. She was involved in The Episcopal Church and many Animal Rescue and Wildlife organizations.

Joanne is preceded in death by Father, Thomas Ferrara, Mother, Francesca Uhl, and Brother Thomas Ferrara.

Joanne is survived by 4 Children, Cynthia J House, James O House, Thomas N House, and Laurie F Erlandson, Daughter in Law, Tammye Harris, Grandson, Jonathan House, and Step Grandson Paul Crouse, and stepson Bruce Erlandson and Daughter in law, Dottie Erlandson.

Funeral services will be held graveside on Monday July 29 (11:00 AM) at Forest Lawn with Episcopalian Priest and Military Honors. Graveside service and burial both to be held and officiated by Kraeer Funeral Home,200 West Copans Road, Pompano Beach, Fl.

The family of Joanne wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr Amal Hannah, Broward County Veterans and Elderly Services, Staff at Advocate Home Health Care and to Rosie, our CNA of 7 years. Special thanks to Laurie Erlandson, who diligently took care of Her Mother Joanne every day and Thomas House, who visited and shopped, and made her smile almost every day for 7 years.
