

Angeline (Lomas) Voxakis of Pompano Beach, Florida passed away on October 31, 2016 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Boca Raton. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 4, 2016 at Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church at 815 NE 15thN Avenue, Ft. Lauderdale at 10:00 am with burial following at the Pompano Beach Cemetery.
Angie was born in Clarksburg, WV to Mike and Mary Lomas on June 20, 1926. She attended Victory High School and graduated from business school in Clarksburg, WV. She and her husband, George, owned and operated several restaurants in Rochester, New York. After moving to Pompano Beach, Angie became a successful realtor specializing in beachfront condominiums.
Angie was a member of Saint Demetrious Greek Orthodox Church. She enjoyed people and was known for her wittiness and ability to tell the perfect joke. Angie’s greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Angie was preceded in death by her husband George, and her sister, Sarah Ice. She is survived by her daughter, Georgine Appling (Dan) of Austin, Texas, son, Michael (Jennifer) Voxakis of Silverthorne, Colorado, three grandchildren, George Appling, Sam Appling, and Nick Appling, and sister, Marcella (Don) Hoylman of Fairmont, WV.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Demetrious Greek Orthodox Church. Arrangements under the direction of Kraeer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pompano Beach, FL.
The family wishes to thank Vitas Hospice team and the Brookdale Assisted Living of Boca Raton staff for their care and support to Angie during her the last year.
