I was browsing for an article on Barbara Heekins'  Florida  swimwear shop that operated in the 1960s. I found Barbara's obituary. I am so sorry for your loss . I modeled beachwear for Barbara in the 1960s. She was one of the first to use Hotel poolside  and Luncheon modeling of her fashions. She was innovative. I really enjoyed knowing her. She gave me a start in the modeling  field. I went on to TV and film. I modeled at The Barefoot Mailman and the Holiday Inn way back then..when they were oceanfront. I never forgot her. She was businesslike but very nice to work for and fun. I am now 81. Strange thing is..our paths must have crossed many times  unknowingly because I lived in BocaRaton in the 1980s and more recently in Juno Beach Fl. Again I express my sympathy and wanted you to know of my happy memories of Barbara.   I wish I had a snapshot to include..of  myself wearing one of her outfits poolside. God Bless you. For some eerie reason, I checked the obits in the Sun-Sentinel this week.  I never do.  Just want to say how much I thought of Barbara.  A really strong woman - always admired her.  She was kind to me-even post-divorce, and I always looked forward to seeing her at the pig roast.  She was a kind and generous in-law and I'll always remember the short but very good times . She was a wonderful hostess, cook and role model.  May she RIP.  Having a grapefruit and vodka in her honor.  If only I had a VW bus & 3 Siberian Huskies!

Dear Bob and Bruce. Sorry to hear about your mom passing. I lost my Dad last year at 90. Wish we could get in contact as it has been about 46 years sense I left LBTS.

Dear Bob, Bruce,and Terry,
Doug, Eric and I were saddened to hear of Aunt Barb's death. Aunt Barb was a wonderful person who made friends easily, and didn't hesitated to express her wit and wisdom with others. She will be greatly missed by all. 
I feel certain that she was welcomed into heaven by family members that were waiting for her to join them.

Dear Bruce, Bob, Terry and Family
Sorry to hear of Barbara's passing....I will always remember her zest for life and positive attitude which was a pleasure to be around.  Always a great communicator and remember her trips to Home Goods with Pam and her visiting my home in Florida.  I want to thank Bruce and Bob and Jane for being there last week for my Mom's service and feel for Danaka and Stella for loosing both of their grandmothers within a week.  Also like to thank you for the parts of Barbara's life that I can remember when I use the kind gifts of her life has passed on to me....forever grateful.  My condolences to Pam and Uncle Larry and happy to see them last week.

I'm so sorry for your loss.  For our entire family's loss.  So many wonderful memories of Aunt Barb.  I'll especially miss that beautiful smiling face and her infectious laughter.  She was a Very Special Woman in so many ways.  And she never knew a stranger. She will be missed by all.  

Aunt Barb, I'm happy you're up there with Uncle Joe, Mom and Dad, Aunt Rosemary, Grandpa and Grandma Loschiavo.  I can only imagine the party you are all having. Please give them all a big hug and kiss from me.

I am sorry to hear of Aunt Barbara's death.  I didn't really know her well, but she was always nice, seemed like a lot of fun, and I know my parents (Ted and Pat) were fond of her. Dear Bob and Jane;  I was saddened to hear of Barbara's passing.  I remember the time that we spent together in the Florida Keys I remember my conversations with her and how she made me feel me feel so confortable and at home in her company. The world will be a little bit dimmer without Barbara.  Most of us would have been pleased to possess just an ounce of her wit, knowledge, enthusiam and love.  My deepest condolences to a beautiful family.
