This was a beautiful tribute to a man  that had a full and great life. Uncle Bernard was a character and always made us laugh! He also   attended our many family Simchas. We hope that he is reunited with his wonderful brothers and their amazing wives. Rest in Peace, Uncle Bernard.

The last of 'the brothers' - when I think of Uncle Bernard and the brothers in general - big laughs and loud laughter and love. Rest in Peace Uncle Bernard.

Uncle Bernard was a unique individual. I remember sharing happy family dinners and holidays with Aunt Mickey and our cigar smoking uncle. He loved family and was close to his three brothers, Aaron, George , and Seymour. His precious daughter Debra Joy was our flower girl. I will always remember his smile and the joy on his face when we saw him. Rest In Peace Uncle Bernard.

We found another picture from Sept 2, 1989 of the whole clan.   A generation of beloved family that will be missed.

We visited my uncle Bernard quite a few years ago in Florida and he pulled me aside and asked me if we flew down or if we drove down.
I advised him that we drove and he just simply said “good I got something for you”. Knowing uncle Bernard I was a bit concerned at that point but did not question him.
Before we left to return back to New Jersey he gave me a long cylinder and I asked him what it was and he said “this is what I got for you”.  I opened the cylinder And removed what was inside.  I was a bit perplexed to find an umbrella in the cylinder.
My wonderful Uncle looked at me with a smile and a gleam in his eye. He stated that this was not just a regular umbrella and instructed me to pull the brass handle while holding the shaft of the umbrella.  As I pulled the brass handle  tightly while holding the shaft of the umbrella a very large knife appeared which was housed in the umbrella shaft,  and affixed to the brass handle.  “You see what I mean” He exclaimed with that twinkle in his eye and that big smile.  I still have the umbrella however,  I hid it from my children  because they were rather young when this occurred, and I did not want them to get hurt but I will always cherish this device.
I love you uncle Bernard and I will never forget you and I hope that you were enjoying the company of all of your brothers.

Uncle Bernard was an inspiration because he always lived the life he wanted, with a smile on his face and a heart of gold. We are so happy we got to visit and may you rest in peace Uncle Bernard.

You will be missed Uncle Bernard.  We may not have seen you much, but you were (and always will be) in our hearts.

Uncle Bernard was the second youngest of four loving brothers. He lived a full life and loved hearing from all of us. He remembered each and every  niece and nephew with their spouses, plus his grandnephews and grandnieces by name even at 101 years young. He would always end a call with love you all so much, over and out. So now we say Rest In Peace Uncle Bernard we all love you so very much, Over and Out.
