Donald Glenn

Donald R. Glenn, 87 passed away on July 4, 2012 with his family by his side at Park Summit Coral Springs, Florida. He was born in Davenport, Iowa and married Patricia Briggs in June 12, 1948; she preceded him in death on June 1, 1994. Don is survived by his daughters Linda Gilchrist, Carol Pribyl and Phyllis Finnegan and wife Doris Schroeder and Grandchildren; Jennifer Schwindt, Angela Schwindt, Kristen Younkin , Ryan Paget, Leslie Langan and Sean Finnegan and 4 great grandsons and two great granddaughters.

Don served in the US Navy Seabees in the South Pacific during WWII. Past President of local Chapter of Phi Theta Pi Business Fraternity. Past President of Men’s Club, Chairman of Board of Deacons and member of Trustees of Edward Congregational Church. Controller of Merchants Transfer for 30 years and General Manager of Standard Forwarding Co. for 9 years prior to retirement in 1988.

Date and time is pending of Donald Glenn’s Military Honors and Randy Pribyl’s prayer at Memorial Park Davenport, Iowa. A Celebration of life will follow the prayer at the home of Carol and Randy Pribyl Bettendorf, Iowa. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you consider donations to American Parkinson Disease Association South Florida Chapter, Pompano Beach, Florida.
