

Edward (Ed) J. Mangan died peacefully on April 25, 2017 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL at the age of 71. His passing was in the loving presence of his wife and his three daughters. He is the son of the late William E. and Sue Grace Mangan of Charleston, WV and Pompano Beach, FL. He was a graduate of Tufts University in Medford, MA. and was employed for many years as an executive for the Bank of New York and First Bankers of Florida. He was known for his great sense of humor and his zest for life. For those who knew him, he comported himself with class and dignity, was generous with his Lot, brilliant and keen of mind, and showed a nature of kindness. He is survived by his loving wife, Maureen Cassidy Mangan. He is also survived by: daughters: Faith (Joseph) Mangan, Molly Elizabeth (David) Leahy, and Constance Mangan; by step-son, Erik Menendez; by step-daughters: Dr. Kimberly (Eric Weber) Gratenstein and Lauren (Brandon Garbutt) Gratenstein; and by his grandchildren: Maya Menendez, Caitlin Rindgen, Haley Leahy, Claire Leahy, Apollo Garbutt, Raiden Garbutt, and Hudson Weber. Visitation at the funeral home on Friday, April 28th 8:30-9:30AM with the funeral mass following at St. Coleman Catholic Church at 10:00AM. Interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1500 State Road 7, North Lauderdale, FL.
