

George Joseph (Gidge) Doyle, of Pompano Beach, passed away on June 2, 2015, peacefully at the Health Center at John Knox Village. George was born in Brookline, MA to Joseph P. and Mabel E. (Bouget) Doyle. George retired from the Boston Police department after 25 years of service and moved to Ft. Lauderdale. He was last Stationed in Brighton, MA with Station 14. He moved to Ft. Lauderdale in 1976 and continued his career in the Security field. His last position was as the Personal Assistant/Security Advisor for Robert Trent Jones, Sr. He was an avid golfer and loved sports. He is survived by his wife Joan Doyle, children Charles Doyle, John D. Doyle and his wife Suki, Maureen A. DeLeon and her husband Jose L, and James M. Doyle and his wife Laurie, siblings Robert Doyle and his wife Lois, Irene Byrnes and her husband James, and Richard Doyle, 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and the mother of his four children Marguerite T. MacDonald.
In addition to his parents, George was predeceased by his brothers Charles, Joseph, and Francis, and his sister Phyllis Arsenault.
George was loved by all that knew him, and the memories and fun times spent with him will be cherished by both family, and friends.
A viewing for family and friends will be at the Kraeer Funeral Home, 200 N. Federal Hwy, Pompano Beach, Friday, June 5th from 9:30-10:30am. A mass will be held at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 731 N. Ocean Blvd., Pompano Beach, FL.
