

Gerald E. Mann was born at home in Dayton, OH to Charles Mann and Bonnie Lee Farris on November 11, 1934. Gerald graduated from Fairmont West High School. With his charismatic personality he was destined to be in Sales. One thing Jerry never lacked was a very strong work ethic, he enjoyed his work, and he was passionate about doing the job to the best of his abilities. Starting in the tire business, then onto selling women’s apparel. Finally, taking up a career in music as a singer with a huge following wherever he played. Jerry made long lasting, personal friendships with all his colleagues and business partners.
Jerry was a member of the St. Ambrose Men’s Club, American Legion, and Sons of the American Legion. He played on many softball leagues, and he made sure to tell all that he was an athlete.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents Charles Mann and Bonnie Lee Farris, daughter Melinda Lee Mann, and stepdaughter Tina Murray.
Gerald is survived by wife Vontella Partin Mann; daughters Misty (Harold) Hall, Michelle (Bruce) Smith, and Merideth Doughton; stepsons Edward (Joyce) Murray and Brad Murray. He also had seven grandchildren; Heather Kilcrease, Aaron Mann Hall, Jacqueline Levy, Morgan Stewart, Tiffany Mauzy, J.D. Doughton Jr., and Lexi Mauzy; Eight great grandchildren, his sister Dolly Lee (Juan Carlos) Soto, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on April 16, 2020 at Kraeer Funeral Home at 200 West Copans Rd. in Pompano Beach, FL from 3:30 - 4:30 pm.
Funeral Services will be held at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Deerfield Beach on April 17, 2020 at 9:30 am. Father Dariusz will officiate. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Pompano Beach.
Memorials may be given to the American Legion Post 162, Deerfield Beach, FL.
