Gertrude Eunice Arscott, 92, of Margate, Florida peacefully passed away at home surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday February 3, 2024. Gertrude spent her formative years in Baillieston, Clarendon, Jamaica before returning to the United Stated at age 19. She settled in Harlem, NY where she worked as a seamstress and a caregiver. Gertrude pursued her education by becoming a nurse. She worked at Morrisania General Hospital, Bronx New York for 34 years. Throughout her life, Gertrude faithfully served the Lord. For twenty years, she was an usher and worship leader at Trinity Baptist Church, Bronx NY. Gertrude loved life and all it had to offer. She enjoyed traveling, church outings with other seniors and especially loved going anywhere on a cruise ship. May Gertrude's soul rest in eternal peace.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to the Senior Ministry of Church by the Glades - 400 Lakeview Drive, Coral Springs, Fl. 33071.
