My relationship with Israel Echevarria & Lydia Rodriquez & every member of this Beautiful, Awesome, Gorgeous Family of mine started with this photo. The marriage of my parents where I was shortly conceived lol! Some of y’all saw me, took care of me  & loved me before my own father who was away at sea. I cannot put in words what y’all mean to me. My heart is full knowing the love & support I have gotten from everyone throughout my 63 years young.  My loving family I am not physically there but I am there in spirit, heart & soul. My upmost condolences, love, kisses & prayers to each & everyone one of you . Godspeed & Thank You for all the Beautiful Memories I will carry till the end of time. Ernie, Willie, Israel, Lydia I love you & y’all will be missed immensely. The whole family has  forever made an influence in my life in so many different special ways I always felt safe, comfortable, loved & included amongst your positive energy! So sorry for your losses but I choose to celebrate your lives with my happy memories! I am celebrating a new life afar my 1st Grandson or I would of been there to hug & hold y’all personally. Love y’all always to the moon and back eternally.

Hey Grandpa ,
I just want to say thank you. Thank you for all the memories. All the laughs. All the stories. All the heart to hearts when it was just you and I. 
I remember you would drive nonstop 22+ hours to come visit. Having Grandma and Mom paranoid and stressing that you would be driving that long alone. I remember my excitement when you would just show up overnight (with lard bread) & gifts lol. Or the fact that you introduced me to my love for salsa and showing me all the throwbacks.  The sing-a-longs in the car , you tapping on the dashboard along to the beat of a El Gran Combo song on the way to the race track. Whenever I pass a horse track I immediately think of you and it always makes me smile . Another good one is you introducing me to quenepas on our way home from the track one day. Oh! or the time I came up to see you during the summer and I lost all the money I had for my trip and you gave me crap all the way to the bank where you replaced it for me. ♥️ Lol 😂 My refined taste for a good cup of cafe con leche. There’s so many things that I remember,  so many things you taught me. I could go on for days. Thank you for all those little things. Thank you for showing up for me. Little did you know it would make such a big impact.  Donatello inherited your name and I’ll make sure he lives up to your strength, your swag and that sense of humor. I’m not gonna say I miss you because I know I carry you with me in all those little things.
I can picture the party in heaven once you stepped on the scene.

I always enjoyed when you would come to visiting  & when you moved to FL I was so special having you here all the time. You made all the family gatherings extra fun & lively!! You brought NY in the house! If I took my golf game further, you definitely would have been my agent!! I will remember & will miss your laugh & fun loving attitude. Please give a big hug to my Grandma & Willie for me! ❤️

Izzy, what a wonderful man, so funny, always joking.  Definitely a pain, but it always came from Love.  Im so glad I've been able to spend the couple of last years, sharing memories together, that I will cherish forever.  Family gathering have always been so much fun..  That is how I will always remember you!!  Death is so painful,  but having you pass the same day as mom has been so much harder!!  You will be missed so much. Rest in Eternal Peace...  We have so many amazing Angels watching over us...  I know you all are having a good old time together... Free!!  I love you!!🙏💔💔

Uncle Izzy, 

I’m not good at this , but here it goes.
You were one of my favorite Uncles by far.  You always made sure when you drove from FL to NY to always visit me and my sons in NJ.  You would bring me delicious bread from Brooklyn.  You made sure to always call or FaceTime just to see how I was doing.  You were there for me when I was at my worst.  Always making me laugh.  Always calling my mom to see how we were.  You would listen and not judge.  You always showed me so much love.  I’m going to miss your hugs (you gave the best ones)  your laugh and especially your funny sarcasm.   Uncle, I’m saddened that your gone, but thankful you are not in pain anymore and in heaven with your son.  The lord has gained one strong team.

Brooklyn in the house oh baby baby. That's how we said hi everytime we seen eachother followed by the best hug in the world.  Izzy you will be missed tremendously.  You were the life of the party such a positive genuine soul . How I wish for one more hug one more us  in our own corner laughing at everyone else. I love and cherish every moment we had . Dear Uncle Izzy, 
I can say that I know where your sons got their sense of humor.   You were always wise cracking.   What I would not give to have been there with you, my aunts and parents in those Palladium days.  To have seen you cut a rug.  You were always so cool and fly!  You were always kind to me and my family.   I loved when we all got together for the holidays there was always laughter.   I love you and will miss you.  May you rest in peace.  By the way, say hi to my Mom and Dad, Abuelo y abuela and my cousin Willie, of course.

I wish that I would have had more time to spend with you. I still wake up and go searching for you ... you would tease me so much that I would say bad bad, and from then on you became  Badbad to me your new nick name made of love. I have always had you around...as a kid you would come to see me play baseball , but would hide so i wouldn't see you, as i grew you would take me to clubs with you..we hung out together...whenever i went to a place and you were there..i go up to you first and kiss you , you helped me to move to Florida and when you came down we shared some great moment,  you, I and Willie. So grateful to GOD that i was able to share time with you these last couple of years going to see jazz and Broadway plays...thank you for being by me throughout my knee surgery and recovery...you stood by me. through it all.. I love you Dad...i still wanted to make more memories with you, wasn't ready for you to leave ..still needed you in my life...there is a loneliness in me that is indescribable the loss of you and Willie ,  have left me empy ... Dad thank you for loving me so much and giving me so many memories with you...love you with all my heart dad...miss you every day ❤❤❤

I have only known you as my brother, not a brother inlaw. We have shared all our life joy and sadness. Always extending your unselfish ways. Showing up in times of trouble always showing us how much you cared in so many ways. I for sure  will miss you so much. There's no way I could Express  how  much. My uncle Izzy.  I have so many memories of you.  I remember you being so much fun, the life of the party. Even though you probably had tough times in your life, who hasn't, you never let it show.  When you were around people, it was always about the others, never about yourself.  


I'll never forget the comforting words you shared with me in the hospital, when mom passed.  Thank you.  

 I know that at this moment, you are probably dragging mom, Lydia, and Willie to the heavenly horse races. They must exist...it's Heaven, after all.

Just want to start off by praying for the Echevarria family. May god bring you peace and comfort. When we first meet Israel, he’d come from New York. We always ran into each other in the store and he accepted me and my son into his family. We loved him dearly. He always had us laughing, there was never a dull moment when he was around. He always invited us to hang around and he will be greatly missed. We will always love him and the Echevarria family. 

You know how when you hear a song it can transport you back in time. Well, when I hear the song, “Get an Ugly Women to Marry You” I am transported back to the Baltic Street apartment, looking through the beaded curtain and seeing my uncle Israel dancing around and enjoying the song. It always puts a smile on my face and joy in my heart. I also remember Chang the dog but that’s another story. 😳

I will always remember Israel and my dad. Israel would come pick up my dad to go to the racetrack. I will always remember when Israel came down to visit my dad in the hospital. The last time that he came down to visit he said his goodbyes and left the room with tears in his eyes. Israel was a great friend more like brothers to my dad. It didn’t matter how far apart they were but he would still come to visit. They would always keep in contact with each other too. Now they are together in Heaven resting in peace and at the racetrack betting on horses together. My mom will always remember him because he always came to visit my dad when he was in the hospital too. He was the best friend that came to see him. We have a lot of memories of him. He was funny and always had a lot of jokes to say. Israel would say jokes to my dad and then my dad will say jokes too. We will always have Israel in our hearts. ❤️🙏🏼👼🏇🏇 RIP to Israel and my dad.

Grandpa,

I still can’t believe this. All of this just doesn’t seem real to me.  I know that we didn’t see each other or speak as often as we should of, but I will forever be grateful for the memories that I have of you.  You always made me laugh every time I would see you.   My favorite memories are the ones when you would randomly come to our house early in the mornings with some amazing bread and drive Daddy crazy.  I’m sure you are with Daddy now driving him crazy, but I know that he is happy to be reunited with you.  You are going to be missed by everyone!! Love you Grandpa! 

I have no words to explain how much I will miss you Grandpa but I know you're in a better place now. I  promise you I'll keep on fighting and I will make sure to make you proud.  This is not Goodbye because I'll  carry your spirit with me every single day.  Grandpa I just wanted to thank you for helping me become the strong woman I am today & always being there when I needed you. We had so many great memories together. Oh, yes how you knew.. Just how to get on my nerves but, I wouldn't want to change you for any other. You were definitely one of a kind  & no one can replace you.  You will always have my heart.

Dad, I could never put into words all that I'm feeling at this very moment. It was very hard for me to let you go but I am greatful to GOD for giving me to privilege and the honor of having been your daughter and most importantly the hours and moments before you passed. In those moments I was able to tell you how very important you are to me and all the things that needed to be said. I held you. I kissed you and I told you I loved you for the very last time. My heart is broken but I rest in the knowledge that you are at peace and that you know without a doubt that you are loved.
