John enjoyed a long and successful career as a buyer in the aerospace industry, earning a reputation for his intelligence, dedication, and professionalism. Beyond his work, John was a man of great heart, humor, and compassion for others. He was smart, funny, and always greeted people with a warm smile. John had a way of making people feel at ease—seen, welcomed, and appreciated.
John had a deep love for animals, especially his rescued pets—from retired police German Shepherds to beloved little mutts like Zippy. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures: meeting friends for brunch, cooking for others, listening to his extensive collection of 1970s and 1980s rock music on vinyl, and photographing sunsets and boats from his balcony.
John loved living at Ocean Place, where he treasured his neighbors and the staff who became an important part of his daily life and community.
He is survived by his sister Kathi; his sister Joan and her husband Bill; his nieces Jennifer, Stacey, and Drew; and his great-nieces and nephews Caden, Julian, and Luke. He is also lovingly remembered by his dear friend Drew and Drew’s wife, Leandra.
John will be remembered for his kindness, his laughter, his generosity of spirit, and the quiet joy he found in everyday moments. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
