

Soucy, Joseph 67, of Pompano Beach, FL, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliva and Felicia Soucy, and is survived by his wife of 36 years, Mary Lou, his brother, Roger Soucy, his two daughters, Mary Jo Yeary (Mike), Terri Soucy, and four grandsons, Mikey, David, Mason and Maddox. Joe was proud to have served as a “Seabee” in the Navy Reserves and then went on to join the Pompano Beach Police Reserves where he worked on the Marine Patrol Unit and stayed through the transition to Broward Sheriffs Office serving for nearly 20 years. Throughout this time Joe also worked for the Florida Department of Transportation as a Civil Engineer for over 30 years. In 1996 Joe was ordained as a Deacon in the Roman Catholic Church where he ministered at St. Elizabeth of Hungary, Our Lady Queen of Heaven and lastly at St. Gabriel Catholic Church. Throughout his life Joe has touched the lives of many and will be sorely missed. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The National K-9 Working Dog, Inc.
