Karen was one of the beautiful, most caring, accepting people who graced this Earth.  My sincere condolence for your loss.

Dear Karen , 

This comes from an old friend of Shahid Barry. My name is Khawar Ikram. From Pakistan. Shahid was my class fellow in class 1 thru 6 in Model School Karachi. Then we almost lost contact as I moved to another city Islamabad and changed school. But never forgot him as the initial bond was strong. He moved to US and got married. I joined Air Force.  I wish I had met him before he passed away. I travelled to US many times and my two children are settled there.

I only came to know of his death a few days back thru internet. How sad. He left us on Feb 23, 2018....May God keep his soul in peace. We are three or four old friends discussing Shahid today on whatsap.

Please accept my heartiest condolences for Shahid. I don't know how was your & your daughter's experience with him. I have only good wishes for you and for Roxie. I keep travelling to US, my son lives at Milwaukee. If I can be of any assistance to you n your daughter it'll be my pleasure. Thanks.

My heart goes out to your family for the loss that you are going through at this time.  May looking back in memories help comfort you in the days to come.

Words can't begin to express the depth of sorrow and emptiness that I feel. Although Karen was my first cousin, she was more like my second Mother, older Sister and best friend all combined into one. She was always there for me when I needed her and continued to love  me even when I didn't love myself.  The next couple of days are going to take a miracle to get through as we prepare to say our final goodbyes.  I feel so blessed to have had such a loving and gentle soul  in my life for my entire 47 years and to have experienced the level of kindness, compassion, beauty and grace that only Karen could give. .....while  always knowing  how very much I was loved by her. May you sleep with the angels peacefully Karen ... until I see you again. Your "Little Elephant" loves you forever and you will live on in my heart and all of the very wonderful memories that we shared. 

My beautiful Karen, my niece, but more my sister. You were one of my brightest shining stars in my life.  Your spirit and love lives on through your daughter Roxie and all of our family. Sleep peaceful my Angel and watch over us from Heaven. I love you... Aunt Jan
