Lachlan McBean

Passed away on April 28, 2014 in City of Plantation, Florida.

Celebration of His Life Service will be held at:

Forest Lawn, 200 West Copans Road, Pompano Beach, FL 33064

At: 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. with Rev. Wehrenberg officiating.

Final arrangements are being handled by Forest Lawn.

Lachlan was born in Salisbury, Southern Rhodesia, Africa

To Eileen and Lachlan Moore McBean on December 9, 1931.

He went to High School at St. George’s College, Salisbury, in 1948.

He went on to earn a Certificate in Civil Engineering from

Westminster College, London, England. He worked as Senior

Engineer for Kaiser Engineers & Construction of Oakland, California

For 40 years. Retired after construction project of I-595 in Broward

County, Florida. He enjoyed family activities; traveling - exploring old ruins,

fishing, hiking, skiing and golf.

Lachlan is preceded in death by his mother and father, Eileen and

Lachlan Moore McBean (S. Rhodesia, Africa) along with his fathers’

sibling sisters, Dorothy and Marguerita (Rep. of S. Africa) and Ina Alison (USA).

Lachlan is survived by his wife, Jo-Marie McBean, of City of Plantation.

His sons, Lachlan John and Duncan Moore McBean and their offspring –

Grandchildren Felicia and Farah; Duncan Douglas and Lachlie Jayne McBean in Florida;

by his brother Duncan Mathie McBean and wife Margaret in Rep. of South Africa; and their

daughters Nola Eileen Herrmann and offspring Marc Alan and Danielle Ashleigh Herrmann in New Zealand;

Carol Anne Teeton and offspring Angus Luke and Caitlin Jessica Teeton in Rep. of South Africa.
