

Dr. Mernoush Banton was born on April 22, 1958 in Tehran, Iran and was granted her angel wings on Friday, January 13, 2012. Just 53 years young, her final days were spent in the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at University of Miami surrounded by her beloved daughters, immediate family and dear friends as she fought valiantly in the battle against pancreatic cancer.
Mernoush was an accomplished professor and business consultant, having successfully earned a Master of Science in Taxation from Florida International University, a Master of Business Administration from University of Miami, and a Doctorate of Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University. A long-time lecturer for the American Management Association and other distinguished organizations, Mernoush was well-respected and admired among her colleagues.
Mernoush is survived by her two daughters, Sheena and Sheeva Banton; her brother and his wife, Michael and Nicole Mehdipour; her two nephews, Michael and Christian Mehdipour; her cousins, Shahrdad Nowrouzi and Azadeh Norouzi; and her special friend, Rhonda Polak.
Memorial service will be held for Mernoush on Monday, January 16, 2012 at 2pm. Funeral arrangements are with Forest Lawn North in Pompano Beach, FL.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memoriam of Dr. Mernoush Banton to The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (www.pancan.org) to support research and advancements in the fight against pancreatic cancer.
