Norcilien deeply adored his wife, Merite Marc, whom he loved with unwavering dedication. He expressed his love through kindness, patience, and daily acts of care. To know Norcilien was to experience genuine compassion, laughter, and encouragement.
He was a true people person — someone who connected naturally with others wherever he went. Norcilien never judged anyone and believed in treating every person with dignity and respect. His presence brought comfort, wisdom, and joy to family, friends, coworkers, and even strangers who quickly became friends.
Norcilien believed strongly in discipline, preparation, and perseverance. He worked hard to achieve his goals and inspired others through his determination and example. One of his proudest accomplishments was serving as Head Captain at the Lighthouse Point Yacht Club for 27 years, where he built lasting friendships and earned deep respect within the boating community. He carried out his responsibilities with professionalism, patience, and pride.
Outside of work, Norcilien found happiness in spending quality time with his wife and family, exploring new restaurants, sharing stories, hosting gatherings, and creating moments filled with laughter. Many people would stop him wherever he went simply to greet him — a reflection of how widely he was known and loved.
Norcilien appreciated fashion and personal style, often choosing classic looks accented with vibrant colors that reflected his lively personality. Music was also part of his daily life, often playing in the background as he went about his day, becoming a familiar and comforting part of who he was.
A man of wisdom and faith, Norcilien was known for offering heartfelt advice rooted in honesty and love. When he spoke, people listened — because his words came from experience, sincerity, and care for others. His faith remained important throughout his life, and he faithfully attended Sunday service, drawing strength from his spiritual devotion.
Norcilien’s greatest joy was his family. He treasured every moment spent with loved ones and especially cherished his role as a grandfather.
