Born December 3, 1937 to Patrick and Vivian (Molli) Licata in Cliffside Park, New Jersey.
Pat graduated from Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL, and later received her M. ED in Early Childhood Education from Florida Atlantic University.
Beloved wife of Tony R. Townes (Deceased- 8/2/1997) and mother of Stefani (Duncan) Hall and Jennifer Townes. Grandmother of Duncan A. (Yulia), Madison (Jackson), Luke, and Olivia. Great Grandmother (Gigi) to Duncan and Ustinia. She is also survived by her sister, Lucy Weigel, brother, Michael Licata, and many nieces and nephews.
Pat served as an educational specialist for Broward County Schools for many years. Her favorite past times would be shopping and lunch out, an evening of coffee and story-telling with her family and friends, and a Hallmark movie before bed. She was known for her quick wit, spirit of adventure, and devotion to her family. A small family gathering will be held on Wednesday, August 19th, 2020 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens located at 200 West Copans Rd. Pompano Beach, FL 33064 at 10 o’clock a.m. The family extends their sincere thanks to the staff at Cartersville Medical Center (Georgia) for the care provided during her courageous battle.
