RK is survived by his Daughter Teresa Farmer (Brian Farmer) of Canton, GA. Son Alan Shoemaker of Sebring, FL. Brothers and Sisters: Ricky, Terry, Frank, Roland, Tom, Billy, Johnny, Don, Jimmy, and Fanney.
Grandchildren: Danielle, Brian, Stacy, Crystal, Amber, Amanda, Isaac, Nick, Matthew, Daniel, and Sharon.
Great Grandchildren: Jaiden, Jayla, Alicia, Christopher Jr, Victoria, and Branden.
Is preceded in death by Wife Norma Jean Shoemaker, Son Robert Shoemaker “Lyn”, Brothers and Sisters Roy, Kaye Myrtle, Myrtle Marie and grandson Jimmy Burrel.
RK was born on December 10, 1932 in Butler, AL to Myrtle and Kavanaugh Shoemaker.
RK married Norma Jean in 1955. After moving to Tamarac, FL RK began working for Shell, where he continued to work till his retirement in 1999.
A funeral is scheduled for December 5, 2017 11:00 at Forest Lawn North Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate RK’s life. Flowers and condolences may be sent to Forest Lawn North Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens.
