

Former Lighthouse Point resident, Sharon Diane "Sherry" Craig, 70, died October 24, 2013, at her home in Jupiter, FL. Sherry was born to the late Richard and Stella Jessen, December 10, 1942, in Croton-on-the-Hudson, NY. Sherry and her family moved to Ft. Lauderdale in 1952. She graduated from Central Catholic High School (now known as St. Thomas Aquinas) in 1960. Five years later, Sherry moved to Baton Rouge, LA, where she began what would be a life-long love affair with the LSU Tigers. In 1980, Sherry moved back to south Florida with her daughter, Casey. Sherry met the true love of her life, Robert "Bob" Craig Jr., at the Pompano Elks Club in 1980 and the two were married a year later. Sherry and Bob worked together as furniture reps and formed "Craig and Associates." Sherry was also a member of the ladies bowling league "The Morning Glories" at Pompano Bowl for 30 years. Sherry is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Patrick and Casey Thume of Jupiter, FL; four step-daughters: Carrie David (Tom) of Pineville, LA, Candice Miller (Jeff) of Monrovia, CA, Crystal Craig Larsen of Lighthouse Pt., FL, Catherine David (Paul) of Mobile, AL; ten grandchildren, Zachary, Mitchell, Henry, Robert, Athena, Holly, Jimmie Rose, Cheney, Bowen and Riley; brother-in-law Tom Craig of Pompano Beach and the Salicco family, including Sandy, who was like a sister to Sherry. Sherry was preceded in death by her loving husband of 30 years, Bob Craig. A service will be held on Friday, November 1, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Forest Lawn, 200 West Copans Rd., Pompano Beach, Florida. Geaux Tigers!
