Steve had a passion for cooking and was a die-hard New York Ranger fan, also a New York Jets fan. He lived life for his family and loved all of them dearly.
Steve is pre-deceased by his wife Ellen Perei and his grandson Michael Cornelio.
He is survived by his daughters Katheleen Resto her husband Joseph Resto and their children Michelle, Joseph Jr, Jessenia, Kevin. Debra Perei and her children JoJo, Tanya, Joshua, Isiaha, Jowell, Faith. Christina Perei and her son Anthony. Helen Cornelio her husband Vinicio Cornelio and their children Alisha, Stephanie, Jesus, Samantha, Angel. A son Steve Perei Jr, his long-time partner Cheryl Stout and their children Ricky and Jackie.
Steve also has 11 great grandchildren Isabella, Angelica, Emily, Kevin Jr, Mikey, Ilana, Amirah, Anna Marie, Laila Rae, Denissa and Jacelyn.
Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Pompano Beach is handling the arrangements. He will be cremated by Gold Coast Crematory in Fort Lauderdale. A Celebration of Life will follow but at the family’s request will be private.
