

Annie Reed Brown Crane, age 95, died Thursday, December 5, 2013 at the Pontotoc Nursing Home where she resided for the past 8 years. She was born March 1, 1918 to William F. Brown and Leona Russell Brown in the Longview community of Pontotoc County. She was married to Horace Crane for 49 years. They were faithful members of Longview Baptist Church.
Services will be at 2 PM Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Longview Baptist Church with Dr. Ken Hester and Rev. Clyde Pound officiating; burial will follow in the Pontotoc Memorial Gardens. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her six children: Hubert Crane, Phyllis Crane Wardlaw (Bill), Michael Crane (Betty), Donnie Crane (Mary), Shelia Crane Hobson (Ray), and Cecil Crane (Judy); seventeen grandchildren: Christa Crane Zehner, Bill Wardlaw, Carla Crane, Mark Wardlaw, Candise Crane Jeffries, Karen Wardlaw Kemp, Lori Harmon, Carmen Crane Bond, Brad Wardlaw, Scott Crane, Valeri Harmon Watts, Carrie Crane Lewis, Michelle Crane Sutton, Seth Crane, Kristin Crane Budzak, Jacob Crane and Cecile Crane Alderson; thirty-seven grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; one brother: Eddie Brown and two-sisters-in-laws: Marie Brown and Margie Brown.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters: Agnes Brown Faulkner and Freddie Brown McHann; three brothers: Hugh Brown, Bill Brown and Miller Brown; a daughter-in-law: Margie Huey Crane, a grandson: Jeremy Crane and Wardlaw triplet great grandsons.
Pallbearers will be: Bill Wardlaw, Mark Wardlaw, Brad Wardlaw, Scott Crane, Seth Crane and Jacob Crane.
Visitation will be Friday, December 6, 2013 at Longview Baptist Church starting at 5:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to: Longview Baptist Church or to the MS Chapter of Alzheimer’s Association.
