Austyn Thomas “Boo Boo” Burton, age 23, passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at his residence. Austyn was born on July 25, 2002, to Keith Burton and Rachel Hayes Ferguson. He was a golf cart mechanic at KB’s Golf Carts, where he worked alongside his father and grandfather daily. Austyn enjoyed dirt bikes, shooting pool, taking things apart and attempting to put them back together, golfing, and customizing golf carts. He was a people person and enjoyed visiting his friends, family, and customers at the shop.
Visitation will be on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 4 to 9 P.M., and Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 9 to 11 A.M., all at Valley Grove Baptist Church. The service will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Valley Grove Baptist Church, with Rev. Dean Moody officiating. There will be a private family graveside service to follow at the Burton Family Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home is honored to assist the Burton family with the arrangements.
Survivors include his girlfriend, Katelyn Fulgham, his parents, Keith and Leigh Anne Burton, and Rachel and Sonny Ferguson, three sisters, Dusty Burton, Jayden Ferguson and Kylee Finley, two brothers, Will Tucker and Bryan Wray, his grandparents, Downey and Jamie Burton, Diann Shumpert, Marc Holliday, Joe and Beverly Tucker, great-grandmother, Betty Hudson, four nieces, Ayda McGloflin, Eliza Gathings, Liliana Gathings and Laila Gaithings, two nephews, Tyler McGloflin and Reid Tucker, four aunts, Dessa Burkhart (Tim), Kristen Mendes (Butch), Leigh Ann Reed (Charles) and Melissa Murphy (Brian), two uncles, Wayne Butler (Garrett Gray) and Joseph Tucker (MC), and a host of cousins.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Lynn Hudson, and a cousin, Brian Weeden.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Wray, Blake Aldridge, Cayson Terry, Will Tucker, Jacob Johnson, Dakota Sanders, Landon Dallas, and Zack Page.
