Betty Wiley

Betty Wiley, age 69, passed away Friday, April 29, 2016 at her residence. She was born March 20, 1947 to Hugh and Mary Anderson Wingo. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and a retired bank teller at First National Bank in Pontotoc. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading, flower gardening, cooking and spending time at the beach.

Services will be at 2 PM Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Browning Funeral Home Chapel in Pontotoc with Rev. Jimmy Russell officiating; burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her husband: Butch Wiley of Pontotoc, MS; a daughter: Angela Grubbs Coggins and husband Ronald of Tupelo; a son: Chris Grubbs and wife Becky of Pontotoc, MS; one brother: Bennie Wingo and wife Linda of Pontotoc, MS; and three grandchildren: Guy Logan Grubbs, Cody Coggins and Claire Coggins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her son: Joey Grubbs.

Pallbearers will be: Kurt Thompson, Don Moroney, Alan Russell, Richard Wingo, Guy Logan Grubbs and Cody Coggins.

Visitation will be Saturday from 4 to 8 PM and Sunday from 1 to 2 PM at the funeral home.
