Diane Montgomery

Diane Montgomery, age 79, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. She was born June 15, 1944 to Raymond and Hazel Estelle McCoy Otts. Diane was a graduate of Algoma High School. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and owned a florist for many years. Diane’s mission was to take care of Jernigan Cemetery and she took pride in placing flowers on her loved ones graves.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, October 27, 2023 at Jernigan Cemetery, with Luther Bagwell officiating. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Montgomery; a daughter, Susan Parrish; a sister, Linda Graham (Garry); a brother, Larry Otts (Anne); and two grandchildren, Jacob Parrish (Mackenzye) and Ben Parrish and one great-granddaughter, Dorothy Parrish.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Kevin Montgomery and a brother, Terry Otts.

Pallbearers will be Hunter Scott, Daniel Morgan, Hunter Ard, Evan Harris, Jacob Parrish and Ben Parrish.

Visitation will be from 12 to 2 P.M. Friday at Jernigan Cemetery.
