Dorothy Wallace

Dorothy Wallace, age 91, died Friday, June 17, 2016 at Pontotoc Health and Rehab. She was born September 10, 1924 to Grover and Carra James Patton. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pontotoc. Dorothy worked at Furr Drug Store and as a Justice Court Deputy Clerk for Pontotoc County. She enjoyed reading, corresponding with her friends and attending church services and activities.

Services will be at 3 PM Sunday, June 19, 2016 at Browning Funeral Home Chapel in Pontotoc with Rev. Kenneth Corley and Rev. Kevin Wallace officiating, burial will follow in the Pontotoc City Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements

Survivors include her caregivers: Chris and Michelle Wallace, two nieces: Nelda Wallace and Linda Hanks (Jim), great nephews: Greg Wallace and wife Cassandra, Jason Wallace, Donny Hanks and Ryan Hanks. And a host of other great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Clint Wallace, two sisters: Lorette Jernigan and Nadine Gillespie, a brother: Fulton Patton, and a nephew: Dennis Ray Wallace.

Pallbearers will be: Michael Terry, Bobby Joe Terry, Greg Wallace, Kevin Wallace, Claude Jones and Larry James.

Visitation will be from 1 to 3 PM Sunday at the funeral home
