

Frank Holloway Sneed, age 94, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. He was born September 16, 1920 to Eugene Vaughn Sneed and Clyde Wood Sneed. He graduated from Pontotoc High School in 1938, and graduated from Mississippi State University with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. He and his brother, Bubba, owned and operated Sneed Farm Supply in Pontotoc for several years; he worked in the U.S. Defense Mapping Center in St. Louis, MO., and at General Electric. He was a member of the Afton First United Methodist Church in St. Louis, MO and after moving back to Pontotoc, he was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pontotoc, MS. He was a WWII Air Force veteran. He enjoyed ice skating, tennis and was an avid MSU fan.
Services will be at 4:00 PM Friday, November 14, 2014 at Browning Funeral Home Chapel in Pontotoc, MS with Rev. Milton Whatley officiating; burial will follow in the Pontotoc City Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his daughter: Nancy Elizabeth Van Buskirk and husband John of Pontotoc, MS, and children: Tim, Amy, Jason and Jackie; a son-in-law: Don Honey of Bolivar, MO and children: Laura Beth, Jason and Andy; his niece: Jennie Olson and husband Don, of Springfield, AR and daughter: Erica; special niece and nephew: Brenda Horton and Billy Donaldson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his spouses, Nancy Kelly Sneed and Sarah Donaldson Sneed; his daughter: Amy Laura Honey; two sisters: Christine Sneed and Bernette Sneed; one brother: Bubba Sneed and his wife Peggy Sneed; and a special nephew: Terry Donaldson.
Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:00pm Thursday at the funeral home.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Church Street Manor in Ecru, NMMC 3rd floor staff, the NMMC Hospice 5th floor staff, and to the staff at Sanctuary Hospice.
