

Herbert Loy Walker, 80, died Wednesday, January 26, 2011, at the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. He was born September 15, 1930, to Loy and Ethel Holladay Walker. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Toxish Baptist Church and the American Legion. He was a farmer and cattleman.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 29, 2011, at the Browning Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jeff Walker and Bro. Rocky Watts officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Marion Walker; a daughter, Donna (Tom) Brown of Cleveland, MS; two sisters, Mildred Harvey of Collins, MS and Becky (Bobby) Hardin of Madison, MS; a brother, Halbert Walker of Collins, MS;and two grandchildren, Elizabeth Brown and Robert Walker Brown.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Elaine Brock and Galdys Vaughn.
Pallbearers are Jackie Griffin, Ricky Collums, Brian Wilbourne, Van McWhirter, Sam McWhirter and Jack Savely.
Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday and from 11:00 A.M. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
