Lanie Ruth Robbins

Lanie Ruth Robbins, age 90, died Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Magnolia Hospital in Corinth, MS. She was born February 10, 1925 to Fred Ples Johnson and Emma Alice Whitlock Johnson. She was a homemaker and a member of Wheeler Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed talking on the phone, flower gardening, traveling, watching the Gaither’s and attending church.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Wheeler Grove Baptist Church with Rev. David Barnett and Rev. Kara Blackard officiating, burial will be in the Shady Grove Cemetery in Pontotoc County. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law: Linda Blackard and Rev. Kara Blackard; two grandchildren: Ronnie Blackard and wife Connie and Steve Blackard and wife Sandy; and four great-grandchildren: Tiffany Shirley and husband Cody, Chloe Blackard, Seth Blackard and Trey Blackard.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Lloyd Wylie Robbins.

Pallbearers will be: Mike Meteer, Norman Benjamin, Bill Gant, Clyde Howe, Bobby Howe, David Northcut and Cody Shirley.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Wheeler Grove Baptist Church.
