Rex Allen Swain

Rex Allen Swain, age 52, died Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Methodist Hospital in Memphis, TN. He was a retired owner of Light Up The Sky satellite store. He enjoyed attending stock car races, going to the lake, watching westerns, working in his yard, spending time with his son, grandchildren, friends and playing with Luna and Elvis.

Services will be at 1:00 PM Monday, October 27, 2014 at Browning Funeral Home Chapel in Pontotoc, with burial to follow in the Pontotoc City Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his son: Dillon Swain (Amber) and their children: Lauren Blair Swain and Peyton Lamar Swain and the family pet Luna, of Batesville, MS; his mother: Wilma Ann Taylor of Medina, TN; one brother: Steve Swain of Medina, TN; special friends: Tracy Dyer and Sandra Matthews; a nephew: Brandon Swain and cousins: Kaye Boyd, Tommy Boyd, Cecilia Derrington, Sherry Bishop, Randy Bishop, Lisa Bishop, Darrell Bishop, Jerry Keith Inmon and Shelia, Dorothy Markman, Shirley Carter and Jennifer Wright.

He was preceded in death by his father: Maurice Swain; grandparents: Jimmie Kay Logan and Janet Earline Swain.

Pallbearers will be: Tommy Boyd, Leo Mask, Randy Roberts, Darrell Bishop, Buddy Eubanks and David Shaw.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 PM Sunday and from 12 to 1 PM Monday at the funeral home.
