Richard Alan “Ricky” Woods, age 58, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at NMMC in Tupelo. He was born July 19, 1959 to Walter Lee Woods and Annie Jo Woods Storie. He attended Erwin High School in Centerpoint, AL and worked in the grocery industry. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Centerpoint, AL. He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved watching Jeff Gordon race.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Browning Funeral Home Chapel in Pontotoc with Dr. Chris Aldridge officiating. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Survivors include his Mother, Annie Jo Woods Storie and husband Bennie of Cropwell, AL; a son, Jacob Alan Woods of Pontotoc, MS; a sister, Janet Martin and husband Alan of Tuscaloosa, AL; a brother, Steve Woods and wife Jonella of Birmingham, AL; and a host of nieces and nephews.
His father, Walter Lee Woods, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be on Saturday from 1 to 2 pm at Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc, MS.
