William Leonard “Lynn” Sewell, age 63, died Sunday, May 15, 2011 at the NMMC in Tupelo. He was a member of the Cherry Creek Baptist Church, communication specialists for Chevron Oil Company and from 1990 to 2000 he was the owner and operator of the Cherry Creek Store. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the Navy.
Services will be at 10 AM Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Browning Funeral Home Chapel in Pontotoc, with Rev. Jimmy Russell officiating; burial will follow in the Ecru Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his father and step-mother: James and Laveda Sewell of Saltillo, MS.
He was preceded in death by his mother: Laura Graddy Sewell and his brother: James “Phil” Sewell.
Pallbearers will be: Perry Lynn Sewell, Keith Reece, Lamar Bolen, Brad Sewell, Lane Tate and Jack Sewell.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Monday and from 9 to 10 AM Tuesday.
