Aaron Maza Tidwell Jr.

Mr. Tidwell was born January 28, 1945 in Lamar County, Mississippi to Aaron Mazo Tidwell, Sr. and Bessie O'Gwynn Tidwell. He was a retired Sergeant First Class in the Mississippi Army National Guard, serving as a Training NCO. After retirement, he was employed with the Pearl River County Board of Supervisors and FEMA. He was a member and Deacon at Ephesus Primitive Baptist Church in Purvis.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Aileen Tidwell Whiddon.

Family members include his wife of 55 years, Pauline Wells Tidwell; three children, Candis King, Josh (Mary) Tidwell, Jeremy (Sarah) Tidwell; one brother, Michael (Louise) Tidwell; two sisters, Jean (William F.) Downs, Elaine (Tyrone) Jones; five grandchildren, Nick (Jessica) King, Shelbi King, Addison Tidwell, Cecelia Tidwell, and Sadie Tidwell.

Funeral services will be held at White Funeral Home, 315 Highway 11 South, Poplarville, MS, 39470 on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 1:00 pm. Elder Shane Ellis will officiate the service. Burial with military honors will be in Ephesus Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, 300 Mitchell Ave, Purvis, MS, 39475 at 2:30 pm. The family will receive friends and have visitation from 11:00 am until services, Saturday at the funeral home.
