Betty Jean Boyd

Betty Jean Boyd, age 84, of Poplarville, Mississippi passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Betty worked at Movie Star in Poplarville, MS for many years and worked at the Catfish Cottage for over 20 years.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Joseph Joe Boyd, Sr.; parents, Colon and Irene Ladner; two brothers, Billy Ray Ladner and baby Colon Ladner, Jr and one great-grandson, Joseph Bo Neckles.

Betty leaves to forever cherish her memory to her six children, Bobby Milner (Sara), Ann L. Summers (the late Charlie Summers), Joseph Joey Boyd, Jr. (Vicki), Kathy Bond (the late James Bond), Randy Boyd and Beverly Boyd; 19 grandkids; 32 great grandkids; a host of nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend Betty's funeral services on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at White Funeral Home, 315 Hwy 11 South, Poplarville, MS for 11:00 am. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Elias Lee Cemetery, 248 J.B. Browne Road, Perkinston, Mississippi 39573, with Michael Milner, Robby Shaw, Wayne Boyd, Ryan Boyd, Ray Ladner and Justin Boyd serving as pallbearers. Bro. Jeff Easterling will officiate the services.
