Mr. Billy Royce Ladner

Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Steephollow Baptist Church for Mr. Billy Royce Ladner, 64 of Poplarville, Mississippi who died February 24, 2011. Brother Jeff Easterling, Brother Harry Davis, Brother Arthur Shaw, and Brother Vince Grayson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Old Steephollow Cemetery.

A native of Poplarville, Mr. Ladner was born on November 1, 1946 to Howard Lavert and Iris Coyce Smith-Ladner. He was a Machinist at John C. Stennis Space Center and a retired farmer. Mr. Ladner was also a member of Masonic Lodge #639 in Steephollow and a member of the Steephollow Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Toni Ladner of Steephollow, MS; two sons, Jonathan Shaw and wife Angela of Steephollow, MS, and Scott Chester and wife Kim of Gulfport, MS; four daughters, Tabitha Smith of Steephollow, MS, Hope Bond and Dana Wayne of Lizana, MS, Leora Pittman and husband Rodney, and April Slade and husband Kanaly, both of Steephollow, MS; two brothers, Howard L. Ladner, Jr. and Preston Dale Ladner, both of Steephollow, MS; eleven grandchildren, Walt Smith, Chris Smith, Ty Smith, Madison Smith, Lauren Creuthirds, Dacia Bond, Macie Reid, Zane Pittman, Calli Slade, Kristin Shaw, and Kaitlyn Shaw; one great-grandchild, Kaylie Smith; step-daughter, Tori Necaise of Steephollow, MS; uncle, Preston Smith of Steephollow, MS; and aunt, Lois Smith of Steephollow, MS.

In addition to his parents Mr. Ladner is preceded in death by his brother Con H. Ladner.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, February 25, 2011 at Steephollow Baptist Church until service time on Saturday, February 26, 2011.
