

Everett Hodge was born on August 7, 1928, and was promoted to heaven to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at the age of 97 on Sunday, December 21, 2025. He was a faithful member of Steep Hollow Baptist Church. While serving in the United States Air Force in the 1940’s, Everett was granted an honorable discharge to return home to help raise his nine siblings. Everett spent a lifetime working as a pipeline welder. He was a member of Local Union 198 and 798. He was also a member of the Steep Hollow Masonic Lodge.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James Wilburn and Tina Hodge and his eight siblings, Wilbur Hodge, Billy Hodge, Dale Hodge, Athalea Penton, Lita Rea Hamilton, Ernestine Stapleton, Doretha Pike, and J.B. Hodge.
Left to forever cherish Everett’s memory are his devoted and loving wife of 76 years (affectionately known as his “baby”), Audrey Hodge; two sons, Leslie Hodge (Kathy) and Darron Hodge (Renee); three grandchildren, John Hodge, Edward Hodge (Melodie) and Katie Mladinich (Jake); six great-grandchildren, Savannah Hodge, Shyan White (Brandan), Aubree Mladinich, Andrew Mladinich, Serenity Hodge and Sophie Hodge; one great-great-grandchild, Waylon White; an his sister, Judy Parker.
The family would like to thank Arden Hospice for the care they provided throughout this difficult time.
Funeral services, officiated by Reverend Gary Killen, will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Steep Hollow Baptist Church beginning at 1:00pm. Friends are invited to join the family for visitation from 11am until the service begins. A committal service for Everett will immediately follow at Smith Cemetery with Leslie Hodge, Darron Hodge, Edward Hodge, Jake Mladinich, Jeff Hodge and Caleb Smith assisting as pallbearers and John Hodge serving as the honorary pallbearer.
