Frank Lee Rose, 86, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 22, 2025. Born on May 6, 1939, in Dayton, Frank lived a full life centered around family, friendship, and enjoying the simple things that brought him happiness.
After retiring from General Motors, Frank embraced his retirement by doing what he loved most: fishing the waters of Lake Erie, golfing with friends, and staying connected to the people who mattered most to him. He made the most of his time by being present for moments that mattered — especially during summer visits with his children, grandchildren, and lifelong friends.
Frank has now gone home to be with the Lord and is reunited with his beloved wife, Audrey Rose; his mother, Opal June Cooley; and his daughter, Sandra Rose Brown.
He is survived by his children: Carole Rose Stephens and Bobby Rose; his stepsons, Dave Campbell and Michael Campbell; and his grandchildren: Paul Pollard, Billy Pollard, Holly Sucher, Bobby Rose Jr., Hanna Eifert, Casey Lathrop, Toni Brown Camara, Taylor Brown, Taylor Biondi, Joshua Campbell, Ryan Campbell, Megan Campbell, Jordan Stockstill and Canaan Logan. He also leaves behind many great-grandchildren who lovingly called him “Papaw.”
Frank’s life was filled with memories that meant the most — summer traditions, fishing trips, family get-togethers, and the kind of days that turn into lifelong stories. Though time brought distance in some relationships, his love for family remained.
Per his wishes, Frank will be cremated, and no immediate service will be held. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date to honor the memories and legacy he leaves behind.
