Glendora Massengale Carter

Mrs. Carter was a retired school bus driver with the Poplarville School District and a private caregiver.

She is preceded in death by her parents, C.B. and Garner Pearl Smith; first husband, George Massengale; second husband, Robert V. Carter; and one son, Stanley Smith; one brother, Gary Smith; and one grandson, Corporal Kyle J. Meyers.

Survivors include three daughters, Deborah Ann (Gay) Landry of Gonzales, LA, Pam Massengale of Purvis, MS, and Margie Massengale of Poplarville, MS; one son, Eddie Earl (Betty Jo) Smith of Lumberton, MS; three brothers, Roy Earnest Smith of Mt. Hermon, LA, Donald Paul Smith of Mt. Hermon, LA, Sam Smith of Pinedale, Wyoming; four sisters, Emma Dean Martinez of Baton Rouge, LA, Mittie Daughtry of Baton Rouge, LA, Charline Templet of Pierre Part, LA, Pauline L. Sullivan of Purvis, MS; twelve grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, September 21, 2013 at White Funeral Home, Poplarville with interment following in Ford’s Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Friday at the funeral home.
