Glennis Gerald Smith

Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Plainview Baptist Church (2506 Silver Run Road, Poplarville, MS, 39470) for Glennis Gerald Smith, 74, of Poplarville, Mississippi who died Wednesday, January 12, 2022 in Forrest General Hospital, Hattiesburg. Brother Holder Stegall, Brother Kenneth Ladner, and Brother Sam Freeman will officiate the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Smith worked in forestry for over 50 years; a member of Plainview Baptist Church; and a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lionel and Wallene Williams Smith.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Peggy Hodge Smith; two sons, Wendell (Kim) Smith, Randall (Shannon) Smith; four grandsons, Nathan Smith, Martin (Regan) Smith, Hunter Smith, Heath Smith; one granddaughter, Heather (Chance) Smith Seals; four great grandsons, Sabre Seals, Jase Smith, Slater Seals, Andersen Smith; and one great granddaughter, Saylor Seals.

Pallbearers will be Martin Smith, Hunter Smith, Heath Smith, Chance Seals, Keith Alexander, and Craig Tynes.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the services, Saturday at the church.
