Jerry Jordan

Funeral services will be 2:30 pm Sunday January 22, 2012 at Bethel Baptist Church for Mr. Jerry Jordan, 67, of Poplarville, Mississippi who died Friday January 20, 2012 in St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington, LA. Rev. Floyd Davis and Rev. Jerry Smith will officiate at the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors.

A native of Poplarville, Mississippi he was a retired Mechanical Technician with Stennis Space Center, a member of Bethel Baptist Church, and a United States Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War receiving the Purple Heart, The Bronze Star, and Oak Leaf Cluster for his meritorious service.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Huey and Mary Lou Smith Jordan.

Survivors include his wife, Gloria Seal Jordan, of Poplarville, MS; two sons, Dr. Jeremy Jordan of Poplarville, MS and Mike Mims of Arab, AL; one daughter, Kim Hathorn of Baton Rouge, LA; one brother, Bennie Hugh Jordan; one sister, Jimmy Lou Humphrey, both of Poplarville, MS; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday January 21, 2012 at Bethel Baptist Church, 7451 Highway 43 North, Poplarville, MS 39470.
