

Judi was born July 21, 1943 in Montgomery, Alabama to Rosalie Sims McLaurin and Linville "Ned" McLaurin. She grew up in Cross Roads, Mississippi as a country girl who loved her horses and playing basketball. She graduated from Poplarville High School in 1961 and married Elmer Oneal Amacker; beginning her life as an Army Wife. She proudly served and sacrificed while raising four children. She graduated from PRC in 1979 as a Registered Nurse and worked at Washington - St. Tammany Charity Hospital in Bogalusa for 27 years; She was a member of Poplarville First United Methodist Church; and an avid golfer, being active in Pine Burr Country Club in Wiggins.
Judi is survived by one son, David (Kriss) Amacker; two daughters, Lynn Amacker, Leaa (Dwayne) Harry; one sister Sandra Atwood; two brothers, Lauren (Kim) McLaurin, Trent (Jessica) McLaurin; mother-in-law Madie Ray Gipson; two sisters-in-law, Sandra (Larry) Peters, Barbara Highstreet; three brothers-in-law, Scottie (Sandy) Gipson, Bryan (Eileen) Gipson, Neil (Sue) Gipson; Nine Grandchildren; Six Great Grandchildren; and favorite pets, Logan and Isabelle.
Judi was preceded in death by her husband Major Elmer Oneal Amacker; son Andy Amacker; her parents, Ned McLaurin and Rosalie Sims McLaurin; sister Sheila Harris, father-in-law Alvin Gipson and brother-in-law Alvin Gipson, Jr.
Funeral services will be at WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 315 Highway 11 South, Poplarville, MS, 39470 on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 9:00 am. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery, 400 Veterans Blvd., Biloxi, Mississippi 39531 at 12:30 PM, Tuesday, January 30, 2018. The family will receive friends and have visitation from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Monday at the funeral home.
